PRIVATE CHARTER HELICOPTERS

Helicopter Charters With Air Charter Service

With more than 30 years of experience and unrivalled access to aircraft, we are experts at providing rapid helicopter charter solutions tailored to your unique requirements.

THE BENEFITS OF HELICOPTER CHARTERS

Helicopter charters offer a level of flexibility not commonly found with fixed wing aircraft, with the most notable advantage of point-to-point travel.

Intelligently designed and highly adaptable to address a range of individual requirements, their capabilities allow access to remote areas and city centres, with the ability to land at helipads, hotels and even private properties, where space allows, making them one of the most flexible and suitable aircraft types for travel to remote, crowded or otherwise difficult to reach destinations.

The versatility of helicopters means that they can be used for business purposes or for transfers from airports to ski resorts, yachts, events or sports stadiums.

FAQ

How does the helicopter charter process work?

After your initial enquiry you will be assigned a personal charter expert who will send you a selection of quotes for you to choose from. Each quote will have a clear breakdown of aircraft and airports and reasons they have been selected for you. Should you wish to go ahead they will then book the aircraft and send you all the flight details including directions to the terminal and any other important information. They will be your first point of call for any further enquiries you may have up to the flight and, if possible, they will meet you at the terminal. From your initial quote you will be able to contact your account manager 24/7 (if on holiday you will be assigned another account manager to cover) so you can call from wherever, whenever you like

How much does a helicopter charter cost?

The cost of a helicopter charter is subject to a variety of factors, such as the size of the helicopter, the length of the flight, and when you’re looking to fly. Naturally, the more passengers, the higher the cost. Contact our helicopter charter team to receive a no-obligation quote.

How many passengers can travel in a helicopter?

The most popular helicopter to charter in the UK is an AW109 twin-engine helicopter which can accommodate up to six passengers. We can also source an H145 or AW139, which can fly up to nine passengers. If you have more passengers than that, we’ll arrange for multiple helicopters to fly the same route.

What is the luggage allowance for a helicopter?

This depends on the type of helicopter and the number of passengers flying. As a rule of thumb, we advise one 10kg soft-sided bag per person. This can be increased if, for example, you have a six-passenger helicopter with only one passenger.

What happens if there’s bad weather?

Helicopters are subject to weather but they aren’t just for sunny days. Their ability to operate in adverse weather depends on several factors, including the severity of the conditions and the type of aircraft. For example, twin-engine helicopters are equipped with advanced navigation systems which can better handle challenging weather situations. Our team will keep you informed of the weather in the days leading up to, and on the day of, your flight and will work with you to rearrange if necessary.
